I was at Blagdon Water Park today and saw some interesting cories I'd not seen before so just had to get some, the first three were labeled as Corydoras Zygatus and I'm pretty sure that was right.

The other three were labeled as Corydoras Puncatus but that's clearly wrong, After a bit of research I'm thinking they might be Coridoras Surinamensis but I'm not sure so any help identifying them would be great.

One of the mystery cory is about twice the size of the other two and although the markings are similar it's got a much more pointed nose so I'm wondering if it's a different variety altogether.

Anyway, here's some pictures.

Lovely fish! That last pic

I'm not a IDer--just a window shopper. But nice finds.

Thanks, yep I liked that one as well.

Those are some very nice cories you have there. There are so many cories that have those spots and the black stripe over the eyes. That makes it hard sometimes to identify them. You can try to find the right one on this page:

Its a very good page I use very often.

Thanks Barracuda, looking at that page the best match I can find is still Surinamensis although the larger of the 3 does resemble Ephippifer to some extent but the caudal fin dos'nt look quite right. Hmmm, so many species of Cory

The first three pics look like zygatus, very nice fishies although extremely hard to spawn, if you manage it, please post about it
