ive always like these fish but didnt think i would get one but saw this one and had to get it will get a pic
its solid red realy bright

anyways its tank mates are 6 dwarf neon rainbows and 1 bn pleco in a 65litre with 2 filters will remove one to reduce flow just dont want to add the fish then take straight out and cause a mini cycle

if he doesnt get on with his tank mates i have a smaller 20ish litre he an have to himself i have a heat and will move the smaller filter over

Good luck, havent tried that combination before, but i would have thought the rainbows would stress him out, di
so far it seems to be the other way he was fine swimming then he found them and is following them and copying them lol ocasionaly flares his beard but not the rest of his fins then seem a bit scared and are hiding im keeping an eye on them though (theyre in between a mix of plastic and real, tall plants on the floor of the tank)
in the store he was with some tetras and left them alone so i hoped he would be fine in here

he has moved away now think he was being curious he also likes to sit low in planted areas and under my bog wood (shaped with a cave section)

would the betta eat catfish sinking pellets as well as flake

I'm sure he'll be fine with them. I'm keeping my male betta in a 10 gallon with 2 bronze cory cats, and a ton of livebearer fry. He doesn't bother one of them.

I would like to see some pics, though. :)

uploading atm mate looks darker in my tank than in the shop though and my cams poo

he looks just like my guy. your new boy's fins have been pretty badly damaged (especially his dorsal fin). i see the fins growing back tho which is a great sign. once he is all healed up he will be a real beauty! my favorite bettas are red VTs.
thanks for sharing
cheers

Lovely betta. Let us know how he gets on with his tankmates :good:

i presume this is the white around the end of the fins ? and i think this one is pretty young aswell due to his size compared to most of the bettas i have seen in shops :good:
