Some LFSs probably put more time into getting the new arrivals to eat frozen foods than others. I'm usually a pain and hang around to see the fish eating and make sure the claims hold up lol. Out of curiosity, how often do you have to feed your scooter blenny?Ive bought stock from a few places and both sell scooters that are fed on frozen food. maybe its a UK thing, but as long as you ask I cant see there is a problem. Ive seen many people on here keep them with no problems and they do well.
Mines put on lots of weight and is supper active and very cute/cheeky with it. He even eats baby brine shrimp I squirt them down to the gravel where they hang around and he goes round hoovering them up
I know zip about watchman gobies...hopefully someone else will have some input on that one. You might also want to look into clown gobies--they're fun fish and do well in small tanks, although they can be a bit of a hastle to feed for the first week. They're plucky little things that come out to look at you if you watch for a minute or so. I don't know that they'd get along with a larger clownfish, but with firefish they might do alright.Do watchman gobies have the same overall demeanor as the scooter/MLM blennies? You know, watching you, perching in that so cute way? Or is there another hardier blenny/goby that does?
