Got breeding Firemouth Pair!

I have a rock as a centrepeice and there is a cave in the back(so i cant see what they do in there or iff there are babies ) but they are constantly darting in and out of there, taking turns to do it. B)

Can I ask a newbie question please, I've got two firemouths which I think are M/F and like most folk like the idea of 'em breeding. What are target fish and ditherers for? Do I need some? have I got some already and don't know it
