Fish Crazy
Ok....after I bought my first betta, Solomon, a little over a week ago. I knew I'd be getting another one soon. I went to Petsmart today to get Solomon some medication for his/my first case of ich. While I was there, there was one little guy that just stood out amongst the rest. He's a GORGEOUS orange...mostly solid color, but with some flecks of white/light blue and black here and there. And he's got a spade-shaped tail. I'm in love! I picked up his cup and we locked eyes....ok ...enough. Suffice it to say I brought him home. I named him Samson (which means like the sun). He's such a sweetie. And doesn't have nearly the temper Solomon does (ironic since Solomon means peacable).
I put their tanks next to each other for a bit to see how they'd react. Of course Solomon had a coniption , flaring and darting all over his tank. It took Samson a while to even notice Solomon's existence. Once he did, he flared a bit, puffed out his gills, etc. But didn't dart around like Solomon. Then Samson calmned and went and did his own thing. Even after I moved their takes apart, Solomon was still darting about flexing his muscles. I had to laugh....I think Samson's a little more secure in his masculinity
Anyway...just wanted to share that I now have a couple of boys.
(p.s. check out my post about Solomon's ich...looking for some advice)
