thanks SSU, I know a stable PH is the ideal but if I can't get my snail back into the main tank then he's going to have to be taken back to the lfs. I really don't want to have to do that. This is why I'm trying to return it to it's previous level of around PH Neutral.
This coral rock is supposed to bring the PH up by 1 (back to 7 for me then) but what I didn't know is it could take a while to do that. I have also been told it will come up slowly by the lfs that I got it from but at Maidenhead today they said it'll swing wildly up to about PH 8 and shock my fish to death!!!
Who do I believe?
