Most of the bacteria should be in your filter so moving decor around won't matter. I typically take half my tank decor out when i vacuum that half. Consists of driftwood, plastic plants and large rocks.

I just move the stuff over to the other side and vac away. When I redecorated the little tank we had already taken out the fish that were in it and moved them to another tank. When I finished, I moved my baby angels in. It looks 100% better in there now.

Oh, and I'm fixin to get yet another tank. She says its a 40, but I never heard of a 40g. She's asking $50 for the whole set up so regardless, its a deal. And with the new jag, I figure we better hurry and get another tank up!!! Then again, I saw these 2 huge angelfish today that I'm still salivating over so who knows.....

You have a jag cichlid? As in manguenese? If so you will need at least a 75 gal tank, preferably 125 gal. It will claim the entire tank as its territory and kill any tankmates. Have any pics? This is one of my fav cichlids.

yeppers, we are now the proud owner of 1 3" jag, as in manguenese. I just posted a couple of pics of him in the picture forum. Let me know what you think. B)
I'm trying to find a HUGE tank for this bad boy. I've lucked into most of my tanks and I'm hoping I can luck into a 100+ soon. I've got my eye on all the classifieds.
Promise I'll be letting ya know when I finally find one! :hyper:

There is a website for the twin cities that you can post what you want to be given. I posted that I wanted tanks 55 gallons and bigger, two days later I picked up a ladie's 55 gallon tank and stand, with filters and heaters all for free!! I just keep posting on the website that I still want big tanks, I hope I keep getting calls to pick up free fish tanks!!
