:D We went checking out garage sales today and picked up a 30g for $20!!!
Got it set up and cycling now, used some water out of 2 of the tanks to jump-start things and we had 2 filters on the other 30g and moved one onto the new 30 so that should really help. We're gonna take a couple out of the 55 to help ease some of the abundance we have in there. Maybe a jack, the jewel and either one of the cons or the Sev. I know its not a permanent fix, but maybe I can hold out a bit longer and go for a 125 now  :D

lucky you! What a deal! That really gotta put you in a good mood! :D

The tank came with a light and some tank decor. We bought an under gravel system and some gravel. Had 2 pumps running on our other 30 so we took one off it, had an extra air pump too. All set to go! All together with a make shift stand and all, we spent less than $60. Not a bad day at all !
And yes, we've both been in a very good mood all day
Didn't hurt that the kids were gone all evening too! :hyper: That ***Really*** helps the mood!

Great deal missy! I got my 29 gallon setup and stand all together for $150

It was a really great deal in comparison to my 55. We got tank, stand and all the equipment for $200. By the time we bought the undergravel system, filters for the filter, gravel and the tank decorations I wanted and such we had spent $500 all together~!
We don't have the decor the way we want it yet in the new tank. My hubby wants to do this one. When he's done I'm re-doing my other 30. I just redid my 20 too. It just takes time :S

that is a deal I got me a 55 gsllon stand and all for 100 bucks at walmart I got lucky this is going up in a few days and I will finally have me a jack demepsy like I have always wanted I think I will buy him young so I might have a chance of putting some other kind in with him hopefully.

Congrads, missyintx_99. :)

It's always exciting to get new equipment and especially tanks! You can never have too many tanks because there's always other fish out there we have to have. :D

I did the same thing, went garage saling and got a 30 gal with hood, light, filter, heater and stand for $20. I haven't set mine up yet, gotta move 8 hours away next week. :/

Bleh tell me about it. I won't have to worry about keeping my fishes water warm enough, i gotta worry about keeping it cool enough. A little bit more difficult i think.

Yea, thats definately harder to do. Living in Texas I can totally relate to that. Where are you moving to?

LOL i'm moving to Reno NV. Will be about an 8 hour drive. Most of it will be in the EARLY morning so i should be ok.

But considering last week we were at 105 regularly and last monday got to 111. I don't think Reno will be much cooler.

I miss the PNW, I used to live in Seattle and Portland. Now I'm landlocked... ahhhhhh!

Out of curiousity, when you re-decorate a tank... is it better to slowly move things (like decorations) out of the aquarium so as not to cause another mini cycle?

I'm soooo jelous Missy! :fun:
