Hi guys ive finally got a new tank ive gone for a Fluval roma 90, not as big as i would have liked but money and space didnt allow for much bigger. Ive also purchased some female odessa barbs to help calm the boistrus male down. so that brings my barb school up to 11 with 7 odessas and 4 roseys. Enough about that ive got one golden sucking loach at the moment so im wondering what other loach species i could get to go along side my current stock?
Im intrested in getting a Khuli loach but i dont know how they will be with the other fish in the tank any advice?

Speaking from experience i would return the sucking loach as he will most likely turn into a real bully aftyer 6 months or so. Kuhlis will be fine but dont get 1 as they are a social fish so get 3 or 4 or more.

Going on the temp needed for Odessa and Rosy Barb around 20C, Weather Loaches fit the bill in that respect. However...

Unless I'm reading things incorrectly, the Roma 90 is only 2-foot long (60cm) and that simply is not going to be long enough for either of your current species long term...

There are always loads of second-hand tanks for sale on Ebay and http://www.aquarist-...ampshire&page=1 , where you can either enter your postcode to find ones nearest you or search by county respectively. That's how I bought "Nelly"'s 540l tank, he sold it to "fishsouth.co.uk" with some fish and some nice equipment like a Fluval FX5, then "fishsouth.co.uk" advertised at both those places and I won a bargain at £51!

On a positive note, I'm glad you bought some more Odessas and what's even better, you improved the ratio of females:males.

thanks for the info yeah it is only about 2 ft long i wanted one much bigger but due to money and the size it wasnt possible at this time.
Love odessas duno what it is just think their a brilliant little fish, yeah i needed more females in there even if it did mean taking a 60 mile round trip to get them haha.
