Got a little question

For inverts? i doubt it, i dont think its the right colour temperature

could be wrong of course

Wouldnt you end up with a very yellow coloured light? This might not be too nice to look at and could cause algae blooms, also I'd be a bit concerned by the heat produced.

If you have them over there I'd go with GE reveal bulbs, they have neodyminium in the glass which makes the light bluer. Or you could go with a small compact flourescent bulb one of the cyclone shaped ones perhaps.

You really really need one of these at a minimum..

Lighting is critical. You can have everything perfect, and if your lighting is shat, so shall be your results.

lol i cant tell what that is. It looks like a 10g tank with brown dead algae in it. lol

I hate to say it but if there was a cheap way of producing good quality intense lighting everybody would be using it by now!

I've said it before but I think your best bet is to look for a second hand lighting system on one of the big reef sites.

well 100 watt incandescent is like 20 watts pc, so u should just get the screw in 20 watt 50/50 pc's and then u could have 40 watts of pc for each of them

OK!
You have me seriously confused.
The other day we were talking about a 20g hex, and now you are linking to a four foot fixture...

Just what size tank are we talking about????

And sorry, I wouldn't touch one of those JEBO lights with a ten foot pole. I have been down that road. Think about it. They are including bulbs, for free!! One will soon burn out, then you are going to decide that it must be because of the junk chinese bulb they include. So you will just go buy a good one. Wow, Fifty bucks!! for one bulb. Well, you think to yourself, it was still a good deal on the hood. Go and put your new light in, and notice that one side of the tank looks dramaticly different than the other. Must be the difference between a quality bulb and a shat one. So back to the store you go because your wife is driving you crazy about the difference, and how it looks dumb...another fifty bucks, but all is well now.
Two weeks later...bam! Another chinese one takes a hike on you!! This time you know better, so you just have to buck up, take it like a man, and buy the two bulbs you need to replace the one that died......

Now, with the initial price of the light fixture, along with your new bulbs, you have close to 300 bucks into it.

I, unfortuneately, related my sad experience with PC lighting on the cheap. Even more unfortuneate for me, I tailored it for your four light system. I had it happen to me with a custom made extruded aluminum 6x96 watt pc system. 500 bucks for the fixture with the "free" lights. Then another 300 dollars for good bulbs.

The worse part was the inadequacy of PCs. IMO there are better approaches for lighting your tank. PC are great for refugiums and sumps where a small bright light is needed in shallower depths.

I also believe PC lighting is a major culprit in Cyano and algae blooms.

IMO, you would be farther ahead with a good VHO system. You pointed out a four foot fixture, so I assume it must be a four foot tank. I would get a couple of nice inexpensive Fulham 5 ballasts, and simply wire up my own.

Give me a few days, and this is exactly what I am going to with a 55 I have. I have so much extra live rock that I am going to start a prop tank with it if my wife doesn't catch me....
