Never under estimate the power of the JMC catfish pellets, i have had fish that have point blank refused to eat anything else be unable to resist a JMC pellet dropped on their nose and have seen spotted talking cats drawn out from hiding in broad daylight by the smell of the pellets in the water, to fish that use scent to track their prey they are the equivilent of trying to walk past a KFC after a few beers.
I've had my del about 4 years and its grown about 5 inches in that time so yeah growth is slow, if you want fast growing bichirs go for the endlicheri's and ornates which will grow an inch a month if you put enough food in.
Rixy the bichir is still for sale, £20 but its collection only and im in london not far from heathrow airport so a long way from cornwall, though if for any reason you are up this way its worth dropping in to see the fishroom, at least most people who have seen it think it is.

pity you live so far away,id buy the delhezi off you like a shot.how come the delhezi is such a slow grower.my senegal has put roughly an inch a month on.i know bichirs grow pretty quick in the begginning and then tend to slow down,but,that seems really slow growth.would you ever think of posting the delhezi???thanks in advance mark.
