how do you tell if there mail and female,And is there any thing that the average fish keeper wouldn't know about these awesome fish

I'm happy to hear you got yourself some corys! The bronze cory is a C. aeneus and most likely the albino is the same. They are peaceful and get along with other community fish.

The female corys are usually wider and longer than the males when mature.

These are both C. aeneus (albino), but since they are the same species, the bronze will have the same shape. The male is the more slender fish on the top of the picture. See how the female is more rounded? It's often easier to tell which sex they are if you look at them from above.

Corys are awesome! I have found that they do best in groups of 3+ the larger the group the more shoaling you will see

No its the same as schooling.. IE staying together/swimming together making them more comfortable and normally alot less shy.
