Great points on interest there captain.

I liked the underground nuke testing sites, all those big bulges! I'm happy that when your government developed and tested their weapons of mass destruction that they did it on their own soil, not like the French who blew up coral atolls for a number of years in the pacific.

About those large manmade geometric shapes on the ground, I would very much doubt that they are used for bombing ranges as far too much effort has gone into being accurate. If I had to hazard a guess as to what they where, I would say that they are for calibrating the position of satellites. They are large enough to see from space and they are all designed geometrically symmetrical, thus it can be used to calibrate measuring and GPS equipment on orbiting satellites. What do you think of my theory?

I also liked the rocket car being used in the car park!!!!

Well, it is near a place called Nellis Range...

Here are some very interesting places: (note-I did not find them myself, except the large compass)

BIG Car Crash: 33°17'52.35"N44°18'24.89"E

Just plain weird High-res: 22°33'13.47"N53°58'36.10"E

Large Compass (near two blackbirds): 34°57'14.80"N117°52'23.78"W

Bones: 17°52'2.06"N21°26'47.25"E (Zoom in as far as you can)

SUPER SUPER HIGH RES (so good you can clearly see people): 19° 0'11.33"N12°53'27.36"E (zoom in as far as you can)

Red Water: 31°42'30.63"N114°41'10.55"W

Is this a real pic or not?: 67°39'21.52"N32°45'47.89"W

Weird Part in the Sahara: 31°11'28.65"N7°52'49.92"E

Some advice, You know those little red "x's" you see in Africa around the National Geographic symbols? Those are actually pictures taken from an Airplane, so they are EXTREMELY High-res, plus some of them have Awesome pics of animals in them! Example: 18°26'42.91"S12° 0'42.20"E (Zoom in as close as you can)

And a bonus! The shore of Lake Tanganyika: 8°31'43.76"S30°39'17.60"E (Zoom in as close as you can)

edit: here is the exact hotel tha my brother stayed in in romania for his tennis tournament:

44°13'41.77"N28°37'29.66"E hopefully itll be pinpointed right on the roof of the hotel, its got a greyish kind of roof and just to the north east of it is the tennis club (its easy to spot, next to the road with 3 reddy brown roofs.) the resolution's pretty good :) zoom in quite a lot

Some really cool locations there unfortunately I live in Halifax, West Yorkshire and there are no Stealth Fighters, Fair Grounds or anything interesting. This is my house anyway it`s a new house that overlooks halifax from a hill 53°43'44.02"N 1°51'24.99"W You can tell the pictures about 4 years old as we`ve just moved in and my dads cars outside and were half way through turfing the back garden !

Hey Nick

When you have finished your mbuna build, I think its best if you put in a pond. You have load of room in your back garden. Think of the possibilities!!! endless!!!! Giant water features with massively tacky ornaments with a fishing gnomb!!!

Retardo! that place with the two blackbirds is crazy! The amount of hardware on the runways! B-52 bombers, hellipopper!, F-15's and the works. Not to mention lots of other things that I cant recognise.
What is the name of that base?

Also I was looking at Area 51 again, why do they have a 5 mile long runway! what "sort" of aircraft needs a runway that long!

Here's mine but still in low res so big pic.

51°47'48.47"N1° 8'42.17"E

Here's a place of aviation interest.

32° 9'23.70"N110°50'58.42"W

Yes it is the SR-71 Blackbird
Speaking of the military, you can see many military bases, you can even see area 51! If you look around the area 51 there are a whole bunch of really weird things!

Sorry, that is not an SR-71, you are looking at a Coast Guard C-130....it has 4 turbo prop engines clearly visible....They are going into land at the coast guard base in SD.

I believe there's a huge US Airforce base in Arizona, and that might be it.

EDIT:
Here's more points of interests...type in Disneyland (it's pretty high-res)
Then there's Disney World (got disoriented with this one...turns out it's HUUUUUGE! See that golf course??? That's part of Disney World. That lake belongs to them as well.)

It's not an air base as such, it's an aircraft graveyard/scrapyard. Featured in many films, scan around and you will see various bits of aircraft everywhere. It's huge.

I think captain retardo was referring to the coordinates with the large ground pattern with the SR-71, not the C-130 off the Ca coast that I pointed out. The POWER OF GOOGLE EARTH, and its free!!!!!

Littleimp -

You are talking about Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, it is an actual AFB, but you are correct, it is where they store "old" aircraft.

It was featured in the movies Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man and The Wraith.
