Good Tankmates For Cory?

Why not some sparkling or croaking gouramis? My little sparkling G's are really placid and not flighty at all.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Please keep in mind this is just a 20g long tank, so only 12" tall. I'm leaning toward the harleys when the time comes. I think they'd be a great addition!

What about a galaxy rasbora?

Sparkling gouramis are VERY small, only about 1 inch to 1.5 inches, but I think that the harlequins are the way to go. :D

I've never seen any galaxy rasboras anywhere near me, but I think they would work with cories nicely.

I just googled them ... sweet! I always thought any gouramis were larger, but I like those a lot. Are they peaceful? Do they shoal?

Harleys are good, but i also like the look of galaxy rasboros if you can get them, they look fab in a bigger shoal which you could do with these in a 20 gal :good:

I have galaxy rasbora (renamed to Celestial Pearl Danio) in a 20 gal tall with 7 Panda Corys; both groups stay toward the bottom most of the time and do very well together. The CPDs are gorgeous little fish as well and very peaceful. They'd love a 20 gal long. They are hard to find but I know of a breeder I got mine from if you're interested.

mine didn't shoal has such, they're quite shy,but relatively peaceful, although i did have a battle with them of nipping my skunks dorsal fins a few times has they wanted to hide out in the cave  hence why i sold them on...

They like lots of coverage of plants, mine even bred :good:

Here's the tank where they'd be living. I'm working toward getting a 30" light hood!

hi similar story to mine then
i have 2 albino corys currently sharing tank space with a foursome 3female 1male swords fancy adding a group of guppies maybe 6female 2male in my 90 litre tank
don't fancy overcrowding but this seems about the max for this size tank
any suggestions if this seems excessive to anyone?

If you are going to add more fish, might I suggest you adding 3-4 more albino cories? They prefer larger groups and do a lot better when they have more. They will exhibit more natural behavior.
