Good Tank Mates For Golden Nugget

Hi im wanting to know good tank mates for a golden nugget L-018, id like to keep other bottom dwellers what can i keep with them?

L018? they can grow to 14 inches, what size is your tank?

be carefull stocking this fish with other plecs etc. they are territorial towards othe bottom dwellers and extremely agressive to other golden nuggets. if you have a large enough tank with plenty of hiding places you can get away with another plec but this imo should be done carefully.
i would avoid mixing with lots of new world cichlids, not for agression issues so much but being shy by nature the cichlids will tend to out compete it for food altho a way around this i have found quite successful is to put some food in at 1 end and when the greedy cichlids are busy i drop some in the other end near the plecos den.
corydoras seem to be fine , my nugget even tolerates them in its den i added a gibbicep a few weeks ago and touch wood so far no probs but this is probably more because theres plenty of room in my tank for them to have there own territories .

they will readilly nd easily mix with most "community" fish , and are imo probably 1 of if not the most attractive plec readily availiable, very shy tho and take an awful long time to settle in

I now have 10 rummy nose, 10 cardinal, 2 euro rams and 4 corys, i think i should go for a calmer plec, what do you suggest?

The plec will be fine with them tank mates, the gn characteristics are hit and miss. Some have real trouble with other tank mates (usually plecs), some have kept varying species absolutely fine (including me).

As long as the tank is sufficiently big enough and the filtration is upto scratch i don't see any problem with your current stocking .

I have changed my mind i now have a royal pleco and its lush, my tank is 5 foot
