I have recently purchased a biube pure and have bought my first fish (a male guppy). I was wondering what to buy next. I wanted a betta but have heard they are not compatible with guppies. Also i have heard that dwarf gourmies are good as well as platys. Any advice?

A lot depends on the size of your biube Guppy2198. I find that many of the small livebearers do fine in tiny tanks like those but I am equally certain that other parts of the hobby have something to offer in the tiny fish area. For tiny livebearers you can choose golden teddies, Heterandria formosa, or even black chins. All of these fish are around an inch or less at full growth but they are also a bit hard to find in a typical fish shop. I have all of them in my tanks but I am a livebearer specialist who has sought out the less common fish and has brought them into my home. Some more typical tiny fish might be some of the tiny shrimp or even celestial pearl danios.

Hey i also have a biube and after much reasearch have decided to go for some Mickey mouse Platy, cardinal tetras and Red Cherry shrimp, they seem to be doing fine and are getting on well together, also they will not outgrow their tank so are a great choice for the biube. ive only just joined these forums but i hope that you may find my advice reassuring!
