Goldfish & Algae Eaters Compatibility Issue

Really worried by this situation.
 
I have a 6 feet tank containing fancy goldfish.
The tank has 2-3 hours of sunlight as I could manage the tank accommodation in the garden area only.
As a result, there is fast growing algae. It is practically difficult to clean such a big tank for algae on a regular basis.
 
I did put some algae eaters in the tank and found algae vanishing.
 
Now, these algae eaters are trying to NIP the FINS of the GOLDFISH.
I have tried SUCKER FISH, GOLD ALGAE EATER & SIAMESE ALGAE EATER, but SAME RESULT.
 
I would prefer algae eaters over algae control products.
 
Kindly suggest me a way out.

Return all of the algae eaters, especially the gold one..I imagine that is a chinese algae eater and they get territorial as they age and start going after fishes slime coat instead of algae. Sorry they're nipping your goldies.
 
I'd get some nerite snails, they're wonderful algae eaters and come in a variety of colors! I'd also look into a way of blocking out the sunlight..does it shine on the front of the tank?
If not perhaps you could block the sides and back of the tank with something.

In the past I have kept the golden apple snails but was troubled by the eggs being laid all over the place.
 
How about those eggs ?

Those aren't going to be as efficient at cleaning algae as nerites I think. But I believe apple snails lay their eggs above the water line don't they? If so you can just scrape it off and throw it away.

Trust me, the golden apple snails lay their eggs anywhere above the water surface, like the aquarium cover or the lighting system....and so on. Furthermore, it takes some effort to search for those hidden eggs and remove them. And after removing the eggs you may still notice white marks on that place.
 
How about the nerite snails, are they similar to golden apple snails ?

I have mystery snails so I know what it's like..they sure can get into some sneaky places.
 
Nerites will lay eggs anywhere I think, they are hard, white, and difficult to remove apparently. I only have one nerite so havn't had this issue. Their eggs will not hatch in freshwater though.

I agree that you should get snails. I have bladder snails I think they're called. There so annoying because they keep breeding but i'll tell you something, the algae was gone from my glass in a week!! Awesome little things
