Golden Tetra

Hi,
I was given two fish and told they are golden tetras and they are in colour with almost same colour eyes.
One however has since about a week now mananged to get what looks like a sore at the tip of it's nose. as if its had a bump or a cold sore. What could it be and does it need attention. It eats and swims happily.

What are your water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate and ph, sores can be bacterial in it a pinkish red colour.

You are spot on the nitrate and nitrite are both high. The Ammonia is perfect but ph is also higher than it should be.
