First off you need to get 3 buckets One larger than the other 2. Drill some holes in the base of the larger bucket so that the water can run thought into one of there smaller buckets. Put some filter floss into thew bottom of the the larger bucket then fill half way with peat. Place on top of one of the smaller buckets and fill with water from the other bucket. This water should then run though into the bucket on the bottom and there you have it your own black water extract. The water may appear quite brown witch is mostly tannins and very fine particles. The fine particles Will be removed quite quickly but your filter. Fill you tank 50/50 with peat filtered and Tap water and do one bucket of peat water and one bucket of Tap water each time you do a water change.
The peat should be changed about once ever 3 to 6 months and kept moist at all time. This help the peat rot which releases the things you are trying to add.
