Gold Or Cherry Barbs?

Hi,

I was wondering if a group of gold or cherry barbs would be better for my first fish in my tank. Also what group #'s should I keep them in?

Out of all barbs, I recommend cherry barbs. Very peaceful and very colourful. I have a group of 5 in my 15G, and they have been breeding, although I only have one fry. I have 3 albino cherry barbs, and 2 normal, the 2 normal are the parents. I didn't have to do anything to trigger spawning either. If you want to breed them, i'd say get 1 male and 2 females, or 1 male and 3 females.

I think 5 per group is good. I'd also go with the CBs since they're much more attractive. GBs kinda look like goldfish.

What size is the tank? Gold barbs will eventually grow a LOT larger than the average cherry barb, so the tank size is relavent.
