Gold Nugget Plec

I've read that the gold nuggets like shrimp. I'd like to offer this to mine as he currently is just eating algae tabs, lettuce and fresh zucchini. He doesn't seem to care for the shrimp pellets - so thought maybe the real thing would be more appealing to him.

How do I serve this? Do I just thaw one frozen shrimp and rip off a small piece for him? (He's just a little guy - about 2-3 inches in length.)

I have a feeling he won't even have a chance at the shrimp because the pearl gouramis will get to it first. As big as they are, they still swim into his little cave -- even when the lights are off. (such piggies!)

Other than shrimp, any other food suggestions for him?

we just put a few in a net in the water to thaw then drop them in
(we feed frozen prawns - from our freezer - for our dinner!)

make sure you dot leave them in too long as they rot quitr quickly (as they were frozen the flesh breaks down quickly when it thaws)

over night should be enough.

other foods that we rotate through for our plecs include bloodworm - tubiflex worms - algea wafers - catfish pelets - cucumber.
