Yeah will do - I borrowed the camera from work, Fuji finepix? put in new batteries - takes 4 x AA and it hardly lasted the weekend, allright I was doing alot of playing finding out how it worked but still you'd think they'd last a bit longer (Duracell aswell?)

Is this the norm for digi-cams?

yes, WWW, didital cameras just suck the life out of batteries, Its better to get rechargeable ones

recharable dont do that much better , they can be used lots of times but for digi cams if u prepared to buy batteries for them and use them a lot then lithium batteries is ur only choice lasts up to 2.5 times longer than normal battereis duracell longlife jobbies as well lol twice as dear sometimes depends ion cam model mine are 6.50 each for battery lasts 2.5 tiems longer and i need one at a time as they like 2 aa batteies stuck together ( if u get me lol)
