Gold Fish Going White?

I have an outdoor pond with some goldfish in it and about one month ago one of the all orange goldfish started turning white. One month later he's completely white and 100% healthy. I'm no goldfish expert but as he has showed absolutely no sign of illness was curious if goldfish changing color may actually be a normal thing?

Yup, its normal for a goldfish to change colors

It happens as fish mature and fish may go through lots of colour morphs.

yea I figured it was normal as he has remained perfectly healthy through the whole thing.

I also have a goldfish in a pond. I noticed his face turning white too. No health problems at all.

My white small goldfish was all white to begin with and had a orange spot on his head and is now completely gone, how do I figure out why?

lol this scared me when it happened to me i bought this guy as a 1" little goldie for my son 9 years ago and he was totally orange. did the usual silly thing nice 18" tank with a tiny filter as sugested by my lfs and now 9 years on this is what we have lol and as you can see the one behind has also decided to change.
