On the 6th of July i'm off on holiday and dont get back untill the 21st August. I know its quite away off, but i need to decide what i'm doing ASAP. I will have someone in to feed the cats and fish everyday, so they could dose EI and also do the water change at the the end of the week. But is it a big risk leaving a tank like this, with someone whos knows nothing about it? The CO2 runs off a solenoid valve and the lights off a timer. The other option is just reducing the lighting and ask him to dose occasionaly tropica nutrition?

Thanks

all i can suggest is you get the person who is gonna help while you are away to get involved slowly from now so they become at least familiar with your tank setup etc :)

WOW, Painful delima and I know it all too well -

Just leaving today June 7 and not returning until June 19 - I also have someone in to do feeding but have opted to have them do nothing else. I have done heavy water changes all this week in prep and as with you CO2 and lights all on timer. My time is shorter than yours but still had exactly the same considerations. Decided to "let it ride" for the time away. Can't be thinking about all the possible serious problems that might arise, but figure if all holds normal things will keep for 12 days.

Good Luck!
