just think of things you might need in the future and take it all!!

Buy anything that you can post/courier easily, ie not wood, live rocks etc. I wouldn't get any tanks as it is fragile even with a careful courier. Small items are probably not worth it either as the profit margin is too small to organise p&p etc. Personally I would get equipments like pumps, heaters and filters.

Get yourself a bigger tank though. You know you want to!

i'll see what i can do. as i say, it might be a no-go. although everything will be minimum half price to us, being a shop its already more expensive than stuff online so half the shop price is not as little as half the online price of something. im hoping the more stuff we buy the more we can save. my cousin is buying the frozen fish food freezers to put fish bait in , that should get the owner on our side.

mowbz - theres loads of wood there that i could get. i guess it depends on what you would deem as nice enough for your tank. thers a couple of stump sized pieces, which even with slight trimming would probably be about 3 feet tall and wide. loads of other bits from tiny up to arm length i would say. how many bits would you want, and i can try and rummage for what i would consider the most interesting pieces. there are a few bits of mopani and lots of normal bogwood. if its cheap enough i might even just get the whole bin full. some of it is already soaked as it has come out of the shop tanks. theres no slate as i looked for some for myself yesterday. the other stuff you mentioned is generally what i'll be grabbing the most of if if this all works out. i saw a couple of sunsun powerheads in there, theres probably a few unboxed ones aswell that they were using in the marine tanks.

i dont know if you saw earlier in the thread, the majority of filters are internal aquael ones of various sizes, including the built in UV ones. there are the mini eheim external ones aswell, but the price of these in the shop is about 25 quid more than online, so whether i can get these at a price worth getting is debatable. there was also an fx5 if you want to drive down, can look for a tank if you want.

any interest in those neoheaters ? no glass and abit more inconspicuous than most. they also sound an alarm apparently if the water goes over the set temp. i think i'll get one for my tank.

i would like to stress to people, dont get your hopes up. he might completely blank us and tell us where to go, i just dont know. he might say its half price or nothing, in which case its probably not going to be worth it.
