would a watchman goby and a pistol shrimp be ok to start with?

What have you got together so far and is the tank cycled? Provided it has cycled you should add a fish first, preferably something a little more adaptable. It keeps the filter healthy. If I remember you are the one who wanted a smallish fish only tank? What do you want to keep other than the puffer and goby? a clown? a different damsel? or was it just the puffer and the goby? Are you having a clean up crew, it would certainly be beneficial but I fear the puffer will eat them?

hello being only 20gallons i just wanted one or two

can i not just have a goby and shrimp, and a few turbo snails

im quite taken by the shrimp and goby
