they are seasonal and expensive so most shops don't carry them on a regular basis. You could try contacting or going to your local cichlid society and see if anyone there has some for sale.

It was fine when I got it. I think it was a female as it kept digging out a patch in the substrate right down to the glass every night at first.
It seemed to start hiding and not feeding even though I got it special food. It hated the action at feeding time. Then it just hung on the side up by the filter. Then it just died.
Loved it for the short time I had it (it was a Clown Faced) but I won't be replacing it.

You can ask your local petshop if they know where the cichlid society meets, or check the local newspapers under the aquarium section. A lot of societies will advertise a week before the meeting. Some societies will have a website and you might be able to find them by doing a Google search for cichlid societies in your area.how do I make contact with my local cichlid society?
