Which Tetra's will shoal better, and look better in a large group?

I am looking to set up a rio 240l with 4 apistogramma cacatuoides and 12 corydoras adolfoi. It will be planted and I was wondering which of the above would be better suited to the tank? It will be heavily planted.

cardinals for me blud

I have 24 in my tank and I think they look spot on. glowlights do to but cards are the best for me bar rummynose!

None IMO, both are pretty poor schoolers. I would look into Espei Rasbora or Hengeli Rasbora, they are proper shoalers and look stunning in big groups.

I agree with Simonas, Cardinals out of the two you mentioned but i prefer rummynoses, so effective, especially when kept in a large group of say 15-20 which would look great in a tank of your size. Possibly even 25 to get the real effect.

I agree with Rasbora's too

Triganostigma hengeli and Triganostigma espei all shoal really well.

The rasboras do look good but I was looking to set it up as a south american tank, hence the tetras. I may end up with rummy nose tetras though.
