Hello,

I would like to make a tank full of glosso. The tank is a small Waterhouse 5 tank which has a fluorescent lamp of 11 W and the tank is 5 gallons.

1. Is the light sufficient?
2. Should I add another 11 W fluorescent lamp (a bit difficult).
3. Is it ok if a stay with the 11 W lamp and just place my desk lamp to shine directly on the glosso from the side of the tank?
4. Will a DIY co2 injection with yeast and sugar be sufficient?
5. Seachem Flourite substrate alone would be fine? Any other suggestions on substrate?
6. How deep should the substrate be?
7. Is there any special fertilization scheme or any other special requirements for glosso?

Thanks.

well as far as i have researched (im still waiting for my glosso order) glosso needs a lot of light TO!! and i repeat TO stay down and form a nice carpet :)

im running 23 watts over my 2.2 gallon nano cube in preparation of the glosso, i think rich substrate is a must :)

right now im trying the EI with the small tank but algae is breaking out :( i think it might be due to the difficulty with injecting c02 into such a small tank !
