I need to do a lot of gloss painting in my house but i am concerned about the fumes of the gloss affecting my aquarium. It is 275ltrs so no chance of moving it. Any idea's. Will it be alright if I just make sure i have a lot of ventilation? Should I use eco paints instead? Covering the fish tank?

If you can try to find eco friendly paint, if not open all the windows and use a fan placed next to a big window blowing air to the OUTSIDE. Don't turn on the oscillating function on the fan, just keep it pointed to the outside so it can suck the fumes out the window. This is more effective if you have other open windows where fresh air can enter. Also cover the tank not completely though, just enough so that any airborn paint particles do not fall into the tank. Finally put a fresh pack of carbon into the filtter and replace every week during the time you paint and let dry. Also continue with the water changes every week. Paint fumes usually stay in a home for weeks. If you continue to smell the fumes, continue to do weekly water changes and carbon replacement.
