Glolight rasbora

Doing some crimbo shopping this evening and wander into the local Pets at home - No flaming now :p

Must say they are have improved alot.
Looking in the tanks i spot a rasbora, that looked like a glolight tetra and argued with the manager that it is not a tetra and to look at the completely different body shape to the Glolight tertras in the next tank.
Well she said i have labelled them as tetras so will sell it at that price.

There was only in the tank and got him for 90pence.

if they get any more i will get some.

so let me get this straight
the pets@home has sold something that it is not
ie they have broken the law by misrepresenting goods for sale?
I think they should look up the trades discriptions act :p

:good: to you gill for getting a bargin
last time we had glowlight rasboras they were £1.95 each

Nice one Gill :good: great new additions.

I recentley picked up 10 at 40p each :D

The fish in the picture don't look like glowlight Rasboras, (R. pauciperforata), but more like the very desirable R. agilis.

They are definitely R. Pauciperforata, they do look a little pale because they had only just arrived home at that point, there were some R. Agilis in the same tank with these at the same price but they didn't look to good so I didn't bother getting them.

It was the black stripe that made me look twice. I've kept pauciperforata many times, never had a black stripe.

This is another picture taken at the same time and only the back fish in this shot shows the black line, the black line isn't visible except in the photos so I am thinking that it has something to do with the flash picking out pigments that normally wouldn't be seen

And this was taken a couple of days after they had settled in
