Hi Folks

I am thinking about adding some Glass Shrimp to my Betta female sorority as a clean-up crew (they might be called Ghost Shrimp elsewhere), and am just wondering before I go buying and adding them - is it possible that the shrimp could be carrying parasites/diseases that may effect the Bettas? Should I put them in Quarantine first like I would a new Betta? Any opinions would be appreciated

I have a very similar post here:

The only response I've gotten thus far is "don't use the LFS' water in your tank". I've read that invertebrates aren't susceptible to the same diseases as fish, but I have yet to get an answer on whether they can be carriers.
Glad to know I'm not the only one to ask this question lol!

everything can harbour dieases. and you will never be sure it wont happen.

Quar. them for about a week with daily water changes and you should be all set. At least that is what I would do. :)
