Could anyone tell me a few good sites to get just the glass aquarium itself?

Make it its not hard..

10 - 12mm old shop window glass.

Yea i was reading your post on how to make one. That sounds really cool. Does it cost more to make one or to buy one? And if i do make one do you need to make a plastic frame around the glass at the base?

It's cheaper to make one, if you're willing to put the time and effort into it. I'll let fozzy answer your second question.

it all depends on what size awarium tou woul like to make.

what do you want to make.

it is easy to find the stuff but how much time do you have and what is your patience.?

It is always better to make a frame then it is to have just glass if you are making a large tank.
