Thanks! After I taught it to quit unplanting the plants, it has been fun to watch!!Welcome! Awesome tank, and I LOVE THAT PLECO???
It seems that the smaller plecos sell better in the fish stores because they are cheaper and less intimidating for somebody’s 20 gal. tank. But people with 100+ gallon tanks and outdoor koi ponds don’t want a 2-3” pleco, so there’s an occasional demand for bigger ones.Welcome to the forum! I might do something similar (growing out plecs and switching for smaller) in my 90 subtropical.
Yep. We are putting in a koi pond and have started looking for a large pleco, but our LFS sells their big ones for $50! There are lots going for free on craigslist thoughBut people with 100+ gallon tanks and outdoor koi ponds don’t want a 2-3” pleco, so there’s an occasional demand for bigger ones.
