gill covers

i asked this question once before never really got a good answer so imma ask it again..


one of my bettas from bcbettas that ive had for a couple months.. has like... inflamed gill covers... they like stick out sideways...

hes not very lively either.. only when he sees another male will he wake up... other than that he jus lies at bottom or kinda sits vertical with his mouth at the surface... he eats fine and poos fine ...

but i donno what is up with him... been like that since i got him...

not sure if theres anything i can do..

maybe hes jus a lazy tard?

my betta pinky just died of a really weird gill/head inflamation disease. it doesnt sound like the same thing your betta has but I would still change his water and put in some bettamax, it wont hurt him and will help with his lazyness..and maybe possibly upping the temp of his tank, if there is no heater you can put a heating pad under his bowl on low. hope i could help
