Ghost Shrimp...

Welp, i decided to drive 2 hours away to get some baby brine shrimp and some ghost shrimp. well, i guess i shouldn't have given my bettas the baby brine shrimp because it gave them a taste for shrimp...and one of my males nawed one of the ghost shrimp i put in his tank all up. poor thing. lol, it is kinda funny though...i knew it was gonna happen.

Yeah...I bought a good 50 the other day to put in all my tanks...I think there are maybe three left alive. lol xD Fishies love live food, and ghost shrimp count as live food I guess.

And my LFS said that ghost shrimp were great tankmates for Bettas, bah! Great for a snack when mommy's not looking is what it is.

yeah i know, LOL, i should have just bought more of those instead of all the brine shrimp.

mine gets along great with ghost shrimp....maybe they just need some room what did u have them in with the betta? i mean size of tank/bowl

It could be, he was the only one who ate the shrimp, and he's in the smallest one, a 1 gallon. The females i have ate one too, i just noticed. they're in a 10 gallon.

Everyone in all my tanks eat them, from the ten gallon to the one and two gallons. They think they are little sharks or something.

Little miss Mini loooooves her ghost shrimp. She waits until they shed their exoskeletons, then attacks them and eats off the body for the rest of the day.

LOL, oh well, i guess they'll be eating they're little tank mates. lol, now one of my other males is chasing the shrimp around. LOL, it's hilarious to watch cause the shrimp just jumped completely out of the water and landed on him.

I know what you mean!!! I have to make myself think of the shrimp as food rather than pets otherwise it gets me all depressed when the bettas eat them.

well that one Ghost Shrimp was being chased and he jumped out of the little hole in the top of the hood. And the hole's only like 2 cm. amazing. lol. i had to pick him up and put him back in and cover half the hole.

Mine alays eat ghost shrimp. Wish they wouldn't.
