I was just wondering if someone could post a link for me to find information about these creatures. I was thinking of getting a few but dont know what kind of parameters they are compatible with or what fish they will work with.

Someone told me that they are food for fancy goldfish, but will they work with tetras? -_-

Ghost shrimp will be alright in most all properly set up freshwater aquariums. They are compatible with just about any fish you keep in a freshwater aquarium. Any fish big enough may make a meal out of your ghost shrimp. Ghost shrimp and tetras will be fine!

They are just considered as food so I dont know much about them. They seem to thrive without much care, untill they get eaten.

Its a fish eat fish world :D

Was just talking to the owner of my lfs earlier today and asked her about ghost shrimp. I was interested in having some of them in my new tank once it was ready for fish. She claimed that she got a whole bunch of them and put them in a tank with about a dozen neons and that within a few days all the shrimp were eaten! Does this sound feasible? I really wanted to have a few of them in my tank and am planning on having a few different types of tetras in it. -_-

I have 3 ghosts and six neon tetras and not one tetra has even come within an inch of the shrimp. Everyone in the tank leaves them alone.

Mine are doing fine (and have been for quite some time) in a 55 gallon with a couple small iridescent sharks, two bala sharks, several feeder guppies, many gouramis (opaline, gold, flame, and dwarf), some assorted danios, freshwater clams, glass catfish, paleatus cory cats, and some amano algae eating shrimp. They have PLENTY of rock caves that they love. The also have some nice java moss to hide in and eat off of. Occasionally, the gouramis will take their food right out of their little claws and eat it themselves, but the shrimp don't mind at all. Everyone gets along great.

i have 2 small newts that are about 2.5 inches long. are they compatible with ghost shrimp?
