My ghost shrimp just had babies :hyper:
I spent last 4 hours reading on how to breed them and from all info i got from most sites is that is very hard and they never survive the larvae stage, so after all this reading I'm getting ready to go to bed and just took a good night glimpse to my tank and noticed that my shrimps no longer have the eggs. After 3 minute observation i saw 4 tiny shrimps on my tank walls.
I also have a Betta in that tank so I'm wondering if i should move the shrimps to breeding net so they have some chance of survival ?

the shrimp babies will be in a zoe form which hang in the water, they wont survive as they need to be kept in marine environments to develop

Ghost Shrimp is a common name used for several species some that can survive in fresh water when young, others need salt water.

Did the small shrimp you saw look like miniature adults or did they look different? If they were minature adults they generally dont need salt water.

I say did rather than does because I think the Betta will have eaten them by now, along with the MIA shrimp in your sig

I woke up this morning and I can't seems to find any babies. They were miniature versions of their parent. It was too late last night for me to put together a breeding net.
I have everything ready now so if I find anymore I'll put them in breeding net.
