Getting ready to stock the 75 gallon and have a question

So the temperature range for Angels is between 74 to 78? This is correct? I know the water has to be warmer for them to breed, but unlike a lot of people, I do not care if they breed or not. I don't have a desire to have to worry about finding homes for fry or dealing with the aggression if I don't find homes. So I don't care if they breed or not and would rather they didn't actually. That is the reason I do not keep live bearers such as plattys, female guppies, and mollies. I don't want to be overrun with fry that survive. Then the tank is full of 200 of whatever and then what do you do with them all !! So I can pass on the breeding temp.

That range is perhaps a tad low, I would suggest 76-78F for tank-raised fish.

Okay, thanks. I am trying to adjust the water temp well before I get the fish.

Some note: From my personal experience male angelfish are not meaner than female angelfish. They grow larger than females and will therefore dominate in a mixed sex group and maybe seem meaner. If you get a male only group this can in fact be pretty peaceful. The real trouble starts as soon as both sexes are present and pairing and breeding is taking place. Also, the character of the fish can vary very much. I have had two big male angels in a much too small tank without any problems (beginners mistake in my first tank), where normally the dominant fish would give the second angel a very hard time.
