i just won a pair of CT bettas off of aqua bid and i was wondering if i could put one of my current females in the 20 gal in my sig, if not could it go with my other female in that five gallon divided with the male so 3 bettas in there total, or should i divide them all? thx again, ill take pics when they come.

i wouldn't put your female in the 20G with the gourmais, that's already a conflict right there :)

as for keeping her int he 5G with teh other female and the divided male...i dont' know, personally i'm not too confident about keeping only 2 female bettas together, i usually put them in groups of 3 or so to spread out the aggression.

ok so either a new tank or another divider?

1 2/3 gallons good for a betta?

1 and 2/3 gal is fine but i would say only if it is wider than it is long. i would not divied a 5 gal into 3 sections. there is too much height.

ok ill work on it, im going to be breeding the CT's eventually so i might just put the male in the breeding tank straight off. btw im just making sure that you DONT need a filter for a breeding tank correct?

well good luck to you too then cute. i have decided that over a long period of time, like 5 years or something, i might try to develop a "mini" betta. something consideribly smaller than the regular betta and still as flashy. that would be the coolest thing ever.
