Getting Another Tank

With using the mature media as nelly suggested, you can have the tank cycled, fishlessly (see sig for link) within a matter of weeks.

However if your planning on putting your existing stock into the new tank, then use all the media from your juwel filter and put it all in the new tanks filter, then you have an instantly cycled tank, providing you do not instantly add more fish than you currently have. Then slowly add stock as you would normally.

as minx said really.

i would say around 6 weeks but you cant put water in it and wait. you have to put small amounts of ammonia in to get things going. another thing to do, is get the filter you are going to use and run it on your big tank as well as the filtration you use. therefore it will 'cycle' the media in the filter and speeed up the overall time when you transfer the filter accross. but he filter will still have to be in your current tank for around a month.

another method, is get some of the media out of the filters that are running and put them into the new filter. so you will have 50% new media and 50% cycled medai on both filters.

Or for the easiest possible way to seed a filter for a second tank ( as in, you are getting more fish not just transferring them from your other tank ) , put your new filter in the current tank and leave it running for 4-6 weeks alongside your current filter. That way you don't have to faff about with tranferring bits of used sponge and dropping ammonia in to cycle it. Just park your new filter in and leave it alone.
