Get Well Soon Two Tank Amin

Heh, when I saw TTA's name for first time I saw the link straightaway and made me chuckle.

It's a great name for this forum :)

All I could see when I saw it was the "Amin" part, and thought it was some type of reference to Idi Amin, former dictator of Uganda.

Simplify your mind!

The name actually originated in 1999 before i had my first tank. I used to play a board based war game called Axis & Allies in the MSN Gaming Zone (was even a sysop there for a while) and later on a dedicated site for the game. Egypt was one of the territories on the map and tanks were one of the pieces, hence Two Tank and then if you asked if I wanted a game, I would answer "I'm in" which became Amin. And the result is what you see. At the point I joined my second fish related site I had only two fish tanks, so it seemed to make sense to use the name. Since then I have used it everywhere I have joined- even the non-fish related sites.

I have Axis & Allies, didn't know there was a computer version.

I always used to read the name as "TwoTankAdmin" ... took years for me to actually notice it wasn't "admin" at all and not a site admin :p

Get well soon TTA, I know we haven't always seen eye to eye, but I wish you well.

Just think, you can do some more scholer search snow your laid up! (That was a joke btw)

Thanks Ian. And I always spend more time on Google Scholar than regular Google.

Just because we may disagree about some science stuff is no reflection on your character. I appreciate the good wishes as I can use all the good vibes I can get.Besides I think I did manage to sway your opinions some

Thanks again.

To be fair Ian, the manufacturers are finding it hard to explain how it works, so it's not really surprising that everyone else is.

Does Mr. Amano use this?

Does Mr. Barr use this?

Does Ms. Walstad use this?

Who did the research they claim that supports this? Oops they did.

I am reminded of that 1941 W.C. Fields film (which he also wrote): Never Give a Sucker an Even Break.

There is a fair bit of anecdotal evidence which can't be sniffed at though...Dave Chong (assistant to Amano in Japan) loves em. Victor Lantos (ADA Bulgaria) is getting good results. I'm sceptical as I think there are easier and cheaper ways to rid yourself of algae. But I do think there's something there. I don't think it'll be long til Barr try's one out.
