What is the gestation period between a female (no male in the tank) having one batch to another? How quickly would she get pregnant again? Her belly is slowly growing again.

They have babies about once a month, and the time between pregnancies is about non-existant. :p Someone, I think it was SRC, posted a picture of what scientists found in a female Guppy's stomach, and there were about 3 batches of fry growing out at the same time.

Id say thats a definite yes.Female guppys are just permanently pregnant. They aren't nicknamed the millions fish for nothing :)

It's still basically the same though. Mollies may or may not have multiple batches inside of them, we don't know yet, but I'd imagine it's pretty similar to the Guppy, seeing as they are in the same family. They still have about a month long gestation, though it can take up to 2 months. 4-6 weeks is more common. And the time in between is basically non-existant too, unless they are seperate from males and have worn out the saved up sperm.

well, i think i've had her about a month. she had one batch that was eaten by everyone in the tank. i can't actually *tell* if she's plump or not........ she looks chubby to me, that's really it. i'll take a pic- see if that helps.
