I decided it would be fun to try growing some actual tea plants (real tea, Camellia sinensis) hydroponically in my hillstream aquarium. I found a deal on Amazon, six seeds for ten bucks. They came in today, and I am doing some reading about how to germinate them. Oy. I think it would be easier and faster to just take my kayak to India and take a few cuttings.
Fortunately, there are a few sellers on ebay and etsy that sell tea seedlings. So after these seeds fail to germinate, I'll have a plan b.
