I have had my GBR for about 2 and a half months now everything was fine in the beginning when i got them they paired up laid eggs (Unfortunately no eggs survived) Now all the Female dose is chase the male around. My male GBR sits behind a rock now and hides all the time because the female wont stop chasing him why is this ?

Aquarium :

30G
3 baby Angles really small
2 Small Plecos
Temp: 81-82F
PH: around 5.5-6

You are going to be stuffed for space soon when those angels and plecos grows up.

Anyway this can happen, I'd give it awhile to see what happens. If she won't stop she may end up killing the male. So keep a close eye on them.

Plants could also help to break up the line of sight so they're not having to look at each other all the time and so that the male doesn't have to hide behind a rock.

Then if it continues, before things get really nasty it would be good idea to rearrange your tank which may or may not help. :)

Things might just work out without you interfering, just keep an eye on them!

ill just wait and see what happens thanks for the responds

you can always put a mirror beside the tank, she should go after that or be afraid... she'll play with it for a bit and probably get bored and then come back to it after awhile, that's what i did for my rams... then angels (when lost its mate (angel)) then it'll give the male a break.. he'll be able to swim around while she is distracted..

then you might need to switch her with another female and try again. she'll most likely try to kill him. and just guessing at this, is she bigger then the male? if so then the male will always get beaten on.
best bet is to switch females and yep try again. all i can think of.

oh and the pleco(s) guessing they are the common black ones (best description i have ha) they'll get around 2 feet. would switch those guys out for something else imo, but to each their own.. and they are mess fish.. when they poo and stuff -.- bleh.
