Hi guys, I have a male German blue ram with corydoras, neon and rummy nose tetras along with one bristlenose. The rams colour is fantastic but I am noticing aggressive behavior towards the other fish. When he goes to the top of the tank and sees one of the corydoras on the bottom he immediately starts chasing and nipping it. He does that with the tetras occasionally, but besides the fact he bullies the other fish, there are no signs of injuries and they are all healthy. I'm just a bit worried incase my fish get hurt.

Welcome to the board!
Sometimes you get a ram or other dwarf cichlid, that just has that cichlid attitude. As long as its just chasing and not any real damage, I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, but this behavior only started today and I have had him for a month and he has been staying at the top of the tank a the back a lot.

And I just discovered one of my corydoras tails has a rip through it

Has anything changed, temp going up or a different food being fed? Could he have just hit maturity?

I did a water change in the morning, and I fed them live brine shrimp for the first time. And the ram is just over 2 inches now
