Gender?

You cant untill they sex out, most take 3-4 months to do so.

And even with in quick sexing species like mollies and guppies some can hold out for 6-8 months some even longer..

Males will start to devlope colour thats the first sign then the anal fin devlops into the breeding organ called a gonopodium

Males are usually smaller than females too. The females have a round anal fin.

But that will not work on fry. it's nit untill they mature they slow down in growth rates. All fry have rounded anal fins

My female endlers (which are similar to guppies) showed gravid spots at about 5 to 6weeks then the males started to show colour at 6 to 8 weeks.

Well I have a guppy that was born on NYE and so thats 1.5 months and she is clearly a female, has no gonopodium she is about an inch big now and is constantly harassed by my male guppy.
