garlic

Just about every plant evolved some biological compounds to kill herbavores, most have roughtly ten compounds in them to kill things, some have as many as 60 (cannabis sativa has a huge number 421 canabanols plus nicoteen (sp?) plus a few more) theres only one plant that I've ever heard of having less than 5 noxious compounds, thats the seaweed thats infesting the mediteranian, it just has loads and loads of one bad tasteing compound and nothing touches it.

This is all well and fine, but still garlic in the right amounts is good for your fish.

All i can say is that garlic is considered the normal procedure now for many reefers on all the popular forums. I have witnessed posts where garli has had little or no impact, but not any posts where it has damaged the fish or corals.

Therefore i would say its a safe thing to use. It might not work for everyone but at least its another weapon in your arsenal against disease.
