Yes, all fish come from the wild where they normally get regular sun and then live in our aquariums so they would be OK. But, koi would not do well as they get too big. It would probably be better if you put better lightbulbs in your fluorescent fixtures... with a broader spectrum of light rather than the el-cheapo bulbs that are in most "shop" light fixtures.
