Gallon Confusion

well that makes me feel better... I've only recently started looking into corys (had 2 clown corys in a tank at work, they were gorgeous :)

whats the minimum number you should keep panda corys in?

Corys will not attack your shrimp. They are just peacefull playfull guys. Also if you are keeping shrimp dont just look at your bottom dwelling fish for problems. The shrimp are very strong swimmers so can get all over the place in the aquarium.

but everyone always talks about "X Gallon tank stocking help" and going on 1" of fish per gallon... thats a different thing depending on imperial or usg

You really shouldn't use that rule unless with small fish. You should calculate the volume because a 12 Oscar doesn't equal 12 small tetras. :)

I'd say six. You could do with fewer, but they really do better in larger groups.

Read as much as you can about these fish that you want to get, or any other fish you want to get BEFORE you get them. Corydoras do best in shoals of 6 or more. Try to do what's best for the fish, not just what you'd like to see. Honestly, I wouldn't get any unless I could get 6 or more.
